The former royal palace, now a museum
After Nepal became a republic in 2008, the royal palace was turned into a museum and its halls opened to the public.
Inside you can follow the story of the country's last monarchs and see the architecture and furnishings of the palace. We usually suggest this visit to travellers interested in the history of the old kingdom, or as a good plan on a rainy day.
